Politcal Affairs will be meeting this coming Tuesday, January 25th at 5:00 PM. It's regular meeting time will be the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM. Please put the 4th Tuesday at 5:00 PM on your calendar and join the Political Affairs Committee - where you can learn about and support Progressive Candidates and issues.

This will be a great opportunity to see one another, meet the new E-Board members and thank those who served this past year. La Cosecha has a large outdoors seating area. Dress accordingly as we try to be as safe as possible for an inperson event. Optional but highly encouraged: Bring a white elephant gift (limit $20) - as we have a fun and lively gift exchange full of unexpected steals, twists, and laughter!

Octoberfest in the Park Canceled
Because of the much needed rain coming to Sacramento, we need to cancel this event. Refunds will be offered. If we don't contact you first about the refund, feel free to contact any Board member to request your refund.
Wellstone is switching it up this year for our Annual Oktoberfest! Due to lingering COVID-19 concerns, instead of holding an inside event, we'll be meeting outside in the fresh air at Howe Park.

Discussion on Climate Issues in Sacramento

Join us as we have Fatima Malik, Herman Barahona, and Chris Brown speak on climate issues in Sacramento and how we can get involved.
Fatima Malik is a Public Health Professional and Educator who is the lead organizer with SMUD Customers United for Energy Freedom.
Herman Barahona is with the Sacramento Environmental Justice Coalition - SacEJC
Chris Brown is coordinator of the Sacramento Climate Coalition.

Members are encouraged to attend the Sacramento County Office of Education Committee Hearing tonight at 6:30 regarding the SJUSD trustee district maps (see below) and make public comment.
