It's that Oktoberfest time of year ... mark your calendars now and don't forget to RSVP!
Wellstone Progressive Democrats of Sacramento's 4rd annual Oktoberfest takes place on Saturday, October 15th at the Turn Verein!
Bring your friends for some delicious handmade sausage (German or Chicken-Apple) from Sacramento’s own Morant’s Old-Fashioned Sausage Kitchen, or rotisserie chicken, or a healthy vegan option (Smoked Apple Sage Sausage), plus all the trimmings - homemade by members who know that food well. Dinner includes various homemade strudels, applesauce, and ginger snaps in our Kaffeehaus room. Pfefferminze schnapps will be available at our no-host bar. There will be pretzels to munch on before dinner, as well as some German/Mexican fusion food snacks! The crowning glory will be the great German beer, of course, amid the atmosphere of upbeat Oktoberfest music, contests and prize drawings.
Best of all, the evening will reflect the values of our progressive Wellstone community and those of the late Sen. Paul Wellstone. He fought for workers’ rights, the environment, single-payer healthcare, better mental health services, progressive immigration policies, and less violence at home and abroad.
