A LIBERAL DOSE OF OPTIMISM!
Feeling down? Sure, we took a big, nasty hit last Tuesday. Time to buck up and become that ray of hope on the horizon. Many of us are wondering: WHAT IS NEXT? Should we become beacons, beasts, super-Berners or just unite as brothers and sisters in solidarity for our values? Nov. 8's stunning outcome was a summons for all of us to get off the sidelines and join the fight for the values we believe in. So please come out on Wednesday, November 30th! You'll feel better and help chart the future of progressives.
To mark the occasion of the last meeting of the year and of this current term of Wellstone officers, we're making this a potluck! If you'd like to bring a dish to share, please do, but don't feel you must.
We're all wondering, "where do we go from here"? How about pledging to attend all Wellstone meetings next year for a start? Another thing you could do is think about taking a leadership role in Wellstone. Now is the perfect time to step up - our club officer elections will be held at the meeting!* Let's talk about the future direction of the club ... should we have more events? If so, what kind? Informational? Direct action? Fund-raising? WHAT'S NEXT both nationally and locally? Only one thing should truly be ruled out: Sitting on our hands!
